- Is the bottle itself machine washable when the filter is removed?
- We recommended washing your LifeStraw Go Series bottle by hand but if needed, the Go Series bottles can be placed in the dishwasher for cleaning, but only after the filters are removed and you should avoid the heated dry setting. It is recommended to remove the cover and mouthpiece from the main cap and wash them separately.

- Hello, I have the Go Stainless Steel. Is the bottle safe to use without the filters? I don't use the filters when I'm at home, and when I wash my bottle, the water turns gray. I just want to be sure that I'm not drinking metal-related elements.

- The carbon filters are good for two months. The efficacy is based on exposure time, so as they age they will be less effective at removing chlorine or helping with taste issues in the water. If you are going to only use when travelling, it would be advised to have extra carbon filters ready for future trips. - Yes, you can remove and replace just the carbon filter on the Go Series bottles. The filter has a separate chamber for the carbon filter element, so it is easy to remove and replace as needed.

- The opening is 6 cm or 2 3/8". The threading diameter is 6.7 cm or 2 7/10".
