8 Stainless steel bottles

"We purchased 8 bottles for our family of eight traveling to Kenya- the bottles are colorful-(we bought 1 of every color) They are sturdy & have kept us from getting sick. The only drawback is that it is harder for they younger children to suck the water up the straw but still Doable- so glad to have this resource availed for this kind of trip."

Great for travel

"We just returned from 2. 5 weeks travel in Ireland, visiting the big cities as well as the countryside. Our water bottles were invaluable everywhere we went, allowing us the opportunity for clean water wherever we filled up. One thing we found that it was tricky to take vitamins while sucking up the water. Also wished we could pour out clean water to make tea from. We relied on the water being boiled in kettle."

Martha G. (5/5)

LifeStraw bottle

"I purchased 2 bottles since there are 2 of us here. They look sturdy. We'll packaged. Of course l have no idea if they will work as advertised since we have not had any emergencies in the weather or environment. I trust they will work well."

ruth w. (5/5)

Bullet proof, stylish, and of course, the water tastes great

"I keep buying LifeStraw stuff. I keep recommending LifeStraw stuff. It works. Gives tremendous peace of mind at home, on the go, whilst traveling, in the car. Yeah. Get it. You will not regret it."

Ellen K. (5/5)

Needs a Few Design Tweaks

"It’s a really good product that eliminates the need for bottled water. I wish it had more ergonomic features, like being smaller at the base to fit better in cup holders, a locking mechanism to prevent the cap from twisting off over time, and a water bottle sling or a full silicone cover to prevent dents and paint chipping."

Maya B. (4/5)

Great tag along

"I take this when I'm out with my Grandson for quick worry free water no need for multiple water bottles."

Dottie D. (5/5)

Q&A

Hi! If i don't use my bottle what is the best way to store it ?
Hello, How to Clean and Store Your LifeStraw Go Series Bottle or Tumbler Regular cleaning helps your bottle perform better and last longer. Follow these steps to keep it clean and mold-free: Before Storing Prevent Mold: Store the membrane filter in saltwater when not in use. Important: Do not put saltwater in stainless steel bottles—it can cause rust. Step-by-Step Guide Remove Carbon Filter Let it air dry for 30 minutes. Store it in a sealed bag or container. Disinfect the Membrane Filter Mix ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) bleach with 2 cups (0.5L) clean water. Attach the empty carbon chamber to the membrane filter and reassemble it into the lid. Pour the bleach solution into the bottle, close the lid, and let sit for 5 minutes. For deep cleaning, you may allow the solution to sit for an hour or more being sure to rinse thoroughly. Rinse twice with clean water, shaking 30 seconds each time. Blow through the filter to remove any leftover bleach. Salt Storage Solution Mix 1 tsp salt with 0.5L water in a non-metal container or bag. Place the membrane filter in the salt solution and seal. Tip: Plastic bottles can hold the solution, but never use this method with steel bottles or tumblers. Storage Store the saltwater + membrane filter in a cool, dry place. Keep the carbon filter in a sealed bag inside the bottle and close the cap. Before Using Again Reinsert the carbon filter. Discard the saltwater and reinstall the membrane filter. Fill the bottle and discard the first few sips if salty. If stored for 3+ months, replace the carbon filter. You can also find more information on our LifeStraw YouTube Channel.
Carbon filter won't unscrew from membrane?
Thank you for reaching out. We're sorry that there is an issue with the filter. Please reach out to us at info@lifestraw.com so we may help you.
Can a 10 year old use the go life straw safely
Yes! A 10-year-old can safely use the LifeStraw Go bottle, as long as they can sip water through a straw and follow basic usage instructions. The filter inside the bottle works through suction, so they’ll need to sip steadily to draw water through the membrane. Here are a few tips for younger users: Supervision for first-time use – It may take a little practice to sip properly. It is helpful to let them know that it is like sipping a milkshake at first. Avoid using with anything other than water – Juice, soda, or milk can clog the filter. Regular cleaning – Be sure to rinse the bottle and mouthpiece after use. If they are comfortable drinking from a straw and understand how to use the bottle, they should have no issues!
How often I have to change the filter?
The Go Series utilizes a two-stage filtration system consisting of a microfilter membrane and an activated carbon filter. • The membrane microfilter lasts up to 1,000 gallons (4,000 L) and will stop allowing water to flow through once it’s reached the end of its lifetime. • The activated carbon filter lasts up to 26 gallons (100 L) of water with proper use and maintenance. We recommend replacing this when you notice a change in smell or taste of your water or every 60 or so days with regular use.
Can I put ice in life straw bottle?
Yes, You can put ice in your LifeStraw Bottle. We do not recommend freezing your bottle or filter.
Can these be used to filter pond or stream water and make it safe to drink?
Yes! The Go Series will work with fresh water sources to protect you from pathogens including bacteria, protozoa, and parasites. You can check out the performance summary here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2631/0778/files/Go_Series_Performance_Data_Sheet.pdf?v=1681403259
i am going to travel in Thailand for 4 weeks, how do i clean the bottle and cap, i cannot really take a dishwasher with me....and staying in hostels i dont have acces to hot water to clean
Great question. Cleaning your bottle on the go can be a challenge but is essential to keeping it in good condition and keeping you safe. While traveling, you can remove the the filter body and wash the bottle and lid with soap and water. You don't need hot water for this, but we do recommend using a disinfecting soap if possible. Best practice would be to remove all the parts, wash, and allow to dry before reassembling your bottle. On the move, you can also wipe down the bottle, lid and mouthpiece with a disinfecting wipe or even unscented hand sanitizer.
Can the water from the life straw go replace distilled water for use in nasal rinses or CPAP machines when traveling to Mexico
Our systems do not remove minerals and dissolved salts from water, so they are not the same as distilled water. We recommend using distilled water in your CPAP machine per manufacturer directions.
If I accidentally wait too long to change the carbon filter, will extra contaminants leak into the water I am drinking? Or will the carbon filter just stop being affective?
What will happen if you do not change out the carbon filter is its effectiveness will eventually wane and offer less protection from the contaminants it filters out. You may experience changes in the taste of the water since the carbon filter does a lot of lifting to improve and neutralize taste issues with water.
Can I pour filtered water from this container to a backpack bladder or do I have to drink from this container?
The filtering action on the Go Series is done by drawing water up through the filter like a straw. You would not be able to easily or quickly fill bladder or other vessel with this product. I would recommend something like the Peak Series Collapsible bottles that are designed to either drink directly from or to fill another container, bottle, or hydration reservoir.
