I've used a LifeStraw Go bottle for years. Its only negative has been that you can't pour water out of it. This item solves that, and takes very little space in a bag. I can not address long term durability, yet I recommend this item for travelers, hikers, campers. . . ."

- Is there any view to do replacement bottles? I unfortunately got some quite hot water on mine and the bottle warped in parts. Doesn't seem to be any option to replace just the bottle part?

- Is the waterbottle (not just the filter) made of entirely BPA-free materials
- Hi, Yes, we use all BPA free materials. All of our products are tested in an accredited lab and verified by independent and accredited third-party laboratories to ensure initial testing is accurate. These tests include chemicals in the effluent water that comes out of the devices. This gives us confidence the materials are not leeching chemicals into the water. Please remember that our products must also meet requirements from the FDA, EPA, and EU regulatory bodies to be considered safe for water use.
- Hello, is the membrane removable? For instance, if I found a source of fresh, clean water to fill the bottle, and did not want to use the filter, would I be able to detach the membrane temporarily?
- Yes, you can remove the filter and use the squeeze bag on its own.

The Peak Series filters contain membrane microfiltration which removes bacteria and parasites, but they do not have an additional carbon filter that generally serves the purposes of improving taste, smell and reducing chemicals.
