Q&A

Will there be a silicone base available for the 10 cup pitcher? I think it may be super important to protect it from being cracked.
Hi Lisa, We do not currently have plans to provide a silicone bumper to our new Essential Pitcher. We appreciate your feedback however and will share it with our team!
Does this remove arsenic from the water?
Hello, The LifeStraw Home Essential Pitchers are not designed or tested to remove arsenic. However, it does reduce a wide range of other contaminants, including lead, mercury, cadmium, copper, chlorine, and several chemicals, while also removing bacteria, parasites, and microplastics. If arsenic is a known concern in your water, we recommend using a treatment system specifically designed and certified for arsenic reduction.
I really like the pitcher's design. However, I have been experiencing a persistent difficulty. When I fill the pitcher with water, not all the water filters through. Some unfiltered water always remains, no matter how much I add to be filtered or how much filtered water is already in the pitcher. To make sure unfiltered water doesn't pour into my glass, I have to take the lid off every time I use the pitcher to confirm that the residual unfiltered water is not mixing with the filtered water. Is there a solution for this dilemma? The filters appear to be installed correctly (and I reinstalled them to be sure). Thanks for any tips you can provide!
Hi there, Thank you for your question. It is normal to see a small amount of residual water remain in the filter housing after filtration. There is a small space between the bottom of the filter and the housing where a little water can collect rather than flowing straight through. This should generally be no more than about an inch of water. If the pitcher is tipped all the way, some of that residual water may pour out, which is expected. If you are seeing significantly more water than this or the filter does not appear to be draining properly, a replacement filter may be worth considering. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@lifestraw.com and our team will be happy to help troubleshoot and review the next best option.
