"I’m sure the straw works, but I was a bit overwhelmed by the maintenance required. I know cleaning is important, but wish there was an easier way. I probably wouldn’t have bought the straws if I knew how complicated the cleaning of this product is. That said, I greatly support the philanthropic mission of Life Straw."

"Ever since I was a kid, I was into the whole ""survilvalist"" thing. I heard about the lifestraw as a tool to have incase you need freshwater but don't have access. I thought this was the coolest thing ever, I COULD DRINK OUT OF A PUDDLE! Now I'm an adult with a lot less free time, but I made the time to go out on a camping trip and I brought this lifestraw with me. Now I didn't drink out of a puddle with it, I drank out a LAKE. The water tasted surprisingly clean and pure and I had no ill effects. This is such a cool gadget to just throw in your bug out bag, or in emergency kits. I think this is a great tool to have, I keep one in the glovebox just incase I get thirsty while stranded!"

"Not that impressed. It is hard to drink out of even after the first couple of times. It comes well packaged but when you take it out you can't stand it up. You have to lay it down and when I go to the beach, camping, hiking, etc. . putting in down isn't always clean. I personally didn't love the texture. I felt like more came out of the straw when I shook it than when I was sucking on it."
"Amazing little straw. Does work on both tap and dirty water. It is only 1000l use, so can't reuse it or swap a filter. But other than that it is a great tool to take camping or hiking! Also very sturdy. It can be shoved anywhere and be ok. No assembly which is a perk. So nothing to set up or swap out!"
