LOVE IT!!

"Hey!😃 My name is Amanda🌻 I Highly recommend any lifestraw products! I purchased the large capacity home filter w/wooden stand as well as a lifestraw straw to keep in my purse. So I am currently smack dab in the middle of a full blown detoxing! A full blown lifestyle change! I had reached a place of just toxicity overload! just due to a lifetime accumulation of everyday toxins,a past of eating and living the “standard American Way:Diet. Lifestyle etc. Have been extremely sick!! As well as managing an extremely rare Chronic Disease:Addisons Disease aka Adrenal Failure that nearly took my life Dec 2014. BUT GOD!🙌 I have & I am continuing to remove everything toxic out of my home, all products used in my home, all products used on my body, in my body. Eating only local organic foods as well as I am smack dab in the middle of a back to back cleansing process of Parasites,Heavy metals, bad gut bacteria overload etc getting all the crud, toxins all the worms out of my body to reclaim my health & quality of life! The amount of toxins along with vital for life:nutrients robbing WORMS stealing my life that have exited my body is absolutely shocking! I am regaining my life back one day at a time. My gut is slowly healing one day at a time. This has been an extremely difficult hard long journey to say the least. I drink TONS of water & use this large capacity home water filter SO many times a day! It is extremely easy to use! I absolutely love it! It is a no brainer set up. Awesome design. Looks great. Extremely convenient! And I love the fact that I can rest assured in knowing this water filter is totally eliminating ALL the toxins in my daily water consumption that I am working so hard at in eliminating from my body!I also love the design of this large capacity filtration system making it very convenient easy to travel with as well. I also have a life straw straw I keep in my purse! I recently traveled and used this straw with regular plastic water bottles to filter water into my glass water bottles. Just an fyi I learned. To filter from a plastic water bottle ya need to use a larger top regular bottle of water. It easily screws right into the lifestraw. Squeeze & filter. I have switched to only using glass water bottles. Not messing around over here! Do not want anymore plastics in this body of mine! So yeah! I highly recommend investing in your health by purchasing this water filtration system. And drink a TON of water! I also add in Celtic gray salt & pure electrolyte minerals as well. It is a very small price to pay in keeping your health verses trying to get your health back!! Believe me! Prevention is WAY easier than curing! Fighting to get your life back is NOT FUN! Guard Your health at all cost! It is absolutely worth any sacrifice & inconvenience! Blessings! Amanda"

Crisp, Clean Water AND `Outstanding Service?!?!

"We’ve been using the LifeStraw high capacity dispenser and it has completely exceeded expectations. The customer service alone deserves recognition, responsive, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure everything works exactly as it should. But the real standout is the water itself. I know it sounds strange to say, because most people think “water is water,” but this is on another level. It’s incredibly clean, crisp, and pure tasting in a way that’s immediately noticeable. No odd aftertaste, no heaviness, just refreshing, high quality water every time. If you care about what you’re putting into your body and want a reliable system backed by a company that stands behind their product, this is an easy recommendation."

Outstanding safety and convenience

"Keeping it filled beats paying $100 a month and constantly moving 3 gallon plastic water bottles to the counter and charging the pump. The water is clear and delicious. The only negative is occasional leaks from the spout. A small glass catches any drips."

Charles O. (5/5)

Awesome Dispenser

"We have had the smaller volume dispenser for years and finally decided to upgrade - great decision. Love the updated look and the new spout (that does not drip water like the older style). And the larger capacity doesn't require multiple refills a day, which is such a quality of life improvement! Initially, the dispenser we received was defective (there was a leak where the spout was attached to the body) but customer service worked quickly to help us exchange for another - and no leaks in sight! Very happy with all of our LIfeStraw purchases, especially this one!"

Q&A

Does this filter water from a rain barrel so it.is drinkable
Hello Betsy, Thank you for your question. LifeStraw filters are highly effective at removing bacteria, parasites, and microplastics from water. They are designed and tested to meet NSF 231 and NSF 53 standards, ensuring the removal of microbiological contaminants from freshwater sources, including individual wells, springs, and other natural water sources. When using rainwater collected directly (e.g., from a clean container during rainfall), LifeStraw products can provide safe drinking water by removing harmful microorganisms. However, if the rainwater is collected from gutters or roofs, the situation becomes more complex due to potential contamination from: Chemical Contaminants: Roof materials, such as asphalt shingles, may leach chemicals, including petroleum-based substances, into the water. LifeStraw filters are not designed to effectively remove all chemical contaminants. Heavy Metals: Debris or roofing materials might introduce heavy metals like lead or mercury into the water. LifeStraw's Home Pitchers and Dispensers are more comprehensive, as they are specifically designed to reduce bacteria, parasites, heavy metals, and chemicals, including PFAS ("forever chemicals"), chlorine, herbicides, and pesticides. For rainwater collected from roofs or gutters, it is advisable to use a multi-stage filtration system that includes activated carbon filters or reverse osmosis alongside your LifeStraw for a more thorough removal of chemicals and heavy metals. I hope this helps.
Does this filter remove salt added to water by a water softener system?
Hi, LifeStraw products do not remove salt from water. Thank you!
If you're trying to market to people on the fact that microplastics are bad, why is your container, which is eventually going to be thrown in the garbage, made out of plastic?
Thank you for your thoughtful question. We absolutely share your concerns about microplastics and their impact on the environment. At LifeStraw, we prioritize developing products that improve water quality and reduce contaminants, including microplastics. Our choice of materials is based on performance, durability, and safety, ensuring the filter lasts as long as possible to reduce waste overall. We’re continuously working to incorporate more sustainable materials and responsible end-of-life solutions. Using plastic remains a complex challenge. While we are actively exploring sustainable alternatives, some materials, like those used in our membrane filters, currently don’t have viable replacements without compromising function, durability, or user experience. We know this is a concern for many customers, and we’re committed to continuing innovation in this area. We also encourage customers to recycle our products where local facilities allow. We’re committed to ongoing innovation and appreciate your feedback as we work to make our products even more sustainable in the future. Thank you
How fast does water come out of the spigot? I had the "home dispenser" model and the spigot was so slow that - even when the reservoir was full of filtered water - it took 30+ seconds to fill a pint glass (too long). I replaced it with a pitcher, but that isn't as convenient. With this model, is the spigot flow rate better (does water come out of the spigot faster)?
When first setting up your Home pitcher or dispenser, the flow rate may be slow but should improve with time and usage. After the first three batches of water through the filters, the flow rate should be about 85-225ml per minute, or 1/3 of a cup to 1 cup per minute. Please reach out to info@lifestraw.com if the dispenser continues to flow at a slower rate.
Is this just for home use? Could i use this to filter water when camping?
While you could use the dispenser for camping, you may want to consider some of our other products that are designed more for outdoor use. Specifically- The LifeStraw Peak Series (Straw, Bottle, or Gravity Filter) – Designed for harsh outdoor conditions
Are these made in the USA? I’m worried about future tariffs or even no supply. Also, is the spout going to forgo a redesign in the future, many reviews are stating drippiness or sloppiness due to it, I have the glass pitcher which I absolutely love and this 35 cup dispenser is very desirable.
LifeStraw products are designed in Switzerland and manufactured outside the U.S., primarily in China and South Korea. While we can’t predict future tariffs or supply chain changes, we are committed to maintaining availability and quality. Regarding the spout design, our team continuously reviews customer feedback, and we are aware of concerns about drips. While we don’t have immediate plans for a redesign, we always strive to improve our products. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with our product team.
Is the container glass or plastic
The container is made of BPA free plastic.
Is the different spout easier to use now? Does water come out faster like if I’m trying to fill my canteen, does it fill in seconds or minutes? I have the older one and it’s my only complaint is how slow water comes out. Also how is cleaning the spout?
Hi Andrew, The High-Capcity Dispenser uses the same Membrane Microfilter as the other home products. The general water flow rate for this filter is 135-160ml per minute. This uses multiple filtration stages, including activated carbon and advanced membrane microfilters. These components are designed to trap contaminants like bacteria, parasites, PFAS, and other impurities, which naturally slows water flow. To clean the spout, we recommend using s small bottle or nylon bristle brush with soap and water.
Where to buy Large Membrane Annual filter for the large home dispenser???
Hi, You can purchase replacement Home filters on our website https://lifestraw.com/products/lifestraw-home-replacement-filters?variant=20718446772335. It is the replacement Home membrane filter.
If you are under a boil water situation do you need to boil the water before using this product?
Hi, Boiling kills most pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and parasites. It’s reliable in emergency situations where microbiological contamination is a concern. Filters are designed to physically remove bacteria, parasites, microplastics, and sediments, making the water clearer and generally safer to drink. However, they do not typically remove viruses, which are much smaller in size and can pass through most filters. For Uncertain Water Sources: If water may be contaminated with viruses or you lack a reliable filter, boiling is a safer option.
