Great product

"Works with out a hiccup"

scott t. (5/5)

Good, but could be so much better

"Treated myself to the tumbler because I love the company and wanted to try something new. Love the colors/look, the stainless steel and the purifier straw features and that’s why it’s not 1 star. However, the cons are just too hard to overlook. My biggest issues with the tumbler is that there’s no airflow so when the lid is on all the way it gets harder to drink out of the tumbler because you just create a vacuum seal effect the more you drink. It’s really difficult to open the tumbler when you need more, which is often because the filter is big and takes away from the volume of water you can fit inside the tumbler, but the lid is silicone and is a push/pull on and off instead of a threaded lid which amplifies the vacuum seal pressure issue. On the bright side I guess it’s hard to spill when it’s that tight lol. Would love to see an upgraded version of these tumblers where it’s actually easy to drink out of them."

Haley R. (2/5)

Delicate and Straw needs to be longer.

"The water bottle broke when dropped, need to replace lid and straw connector. Also, the other bottle is deeper than the filter straw goes, so even though there’s 1/4 of water in the bottle, you still need to refill. A little annoying."

Win Win For Everyone!

"Life straw is a game changer for both travel and daily life. And I love their pledge to make pure water available to kids. Their customer service is beyond compare."

Joan W. (5/5)

Great product!

"My wife and I love the tumblers and straws we purchased. Only thing my wife said was to draw water out was more difficult because of the filter and worried she may get “smokers” wrinkles around the lips over time. Maybe life straw could make a easier draw filter that filters micro plastics only since we use bottle water or frigerator water into our life straw tumblers anyway we wouldn’t need bacteria and other vocs powerful filter"

Billy D. (4/5)

"I like the fact that’s its non toxic, but its hard to drink from. I have 2 of the glass water pictures as well."

Susan (4/5)

Tumbler is a great idea. Needs larger capacity.

"Tumbler is a great idea, but really needs to be larger capacity to be effective. 32-40 oz would be nice options."

Q&A

How do we know when the filter in the tumbler needs changing
The Go Series utilizes a two-stage filtration system consisting of a microfilter membrane and an activated carbon filter. • The membrane microfilter lasts up to 1,000 gallons (4,000 L) and will stop allowing water to flow through once it’s reached the end of its lifetime. • The activated carbon filter lasts up to 26 gallons (100 L) of water with proper use and maintenance. We recommend replacing this when you notice a change in smell or taste of your water or every 60 or so days with regular use.
What is the straw made of?
The Tumbler straw is made of a food grade BPA free plastic.
It's plastic free? wouldn't make much sense to claim removal of microplastic and they drink water through a plastic straw and plastic lid. Please answer.
Thank you for your question. I understand your concerns about microplastics in the water and their contribution to the problem. Microplastics can be either intentionally manufactured for certain purposes (like microbeads in cosmetics) or result from the breakdown of larger plastic items due to weathering, material breakage, and mechanical forces. Microplastics can also come from synthetic fibers shedding off from textiles during washing and use. The LifeStraw membrane microfilter was tested for removal of microplastic particles from drinking water following NSF/ANSI 401 and showed that our filters exceeded the reduction requirement. The product itself does not add microplastics to your water through regular use. The plastics used in our pitcher and dispenser are BPA-free and safe for food and water contact. We extensively test our products to ensure they are safe and meet USEPA, EU, and California Prop 65 standards.
I looked at the manual. So, we need to remove the filter and then the lid and mouthpiece are dishwasher safe and then the rest is hand wash only? Is that correct? How easy is it to get clean and sterile?
We recommend the steps below to properly clean and disinfect your Go Series Bottle or Tumbler. Regular care will ensure better performance and a better experience with your bottle. To prevent mold and algae growth, we recommend storing your Go bottle filter in a salt or saline solution when not in use. Do not store saline solution in Stainless Steel bottles, as it may cause rust.  This process keeps the membrane moist during long-term storage, ensuring a good flow rate when resuming use. Follow the steps below:  Remove Carbon Filter  Take out the carbon filter, let it dry for 30 minutes, then place it in a sealed, reusable container or zip-lock bag.  Disinfect  Mix 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) of household bleach with 2 cups (.5L) of clean water.  Screw the empty carbon chamber onto the membrane microfilter, and then install the full assembly into lid.   Pour the bleach solution into the bottle with the membrane filter enclosed, close the lid, and let it stand for 5 minutes.  Empty the bottle of the bleach solution, leaving the membrane filter inside. Rinse twice with clean water, shaking for at least 30 seconds each time.  Empty the bottle again of any remaining bleach solution, wash with clean water to remove chlorine residue, and blow air through the filter to remove any remaining bleach solution.  Immerse in Salt Solution  In a non-steel reusable container or zip-lock bag, combine 0.5L water with 1 teaspoon of salt and shake gently to dissolve.  Immerse the Microfiber (MF) filter in the saline solution and seal tightly.   *NOTE – if your bottle is plastic, you can mix the solution, pour it into your plastic bottle and immerse the membrane filter in the solution while assembled on the cap. You cannot do this with the steel bottle and tumbler as it will rust over time.     Store  Store the container with the MF filter and saltwater in a cool, dry place.  Place the carbon filter in a zip-lock bag, store it in the LS Go bottle, and close the cap tightly.  Resume Use  To use your LifeStraw Go Bottle again, reinsert the carbon filter. Discard the salt solution and reinstall the MF filter in the LS Go cap.  Fill the bottle with regular water, and spit out the first few sips if they taste salty.  Note: If storing for over three months, replace the carbon filter before reuse.

Did you test for leakage at the top
The LifeStraw Go Series Tumbler is not designed to be completely leakproof. While it is tested for spill resistance, some leakage may occur if: The tumbler is tipped over or shaken vigorously. Water is trapped in the mouthpiece and drips out after use. The lid is not fully secured. For best results: ✔ Keep the tumbler upright when not in use. ✔ Ensure the lid is tightly closed. ✔ Drink any remaining water in the mouthpiece before storing.
