Boundary Waters

"My son and I do a "Father & Son" Boundary Waters trip every year with four other dads and their sons. This filter is highly reliable and is an essential piece of equipment for producing filtered water from Boundary Waters Lake for cooking purposes."

Rising river water

"It clogged after the first liter. Fortunately, I had the larger filter with the backwash has been holding up pretty well 10 gallons of water at least dirty river water"

Great

"Works great put it in line with my water pack"

Kerry d. (5/5)

"It's essentially their only straw that filters for both microplastics & lead, even if it's not technically a straw"

Excellent Replacement Filters

"We have 2 650 ml LifeStraw flexible water filter containers. The new filters fit well and yield the same ultra-clear water you expect from LifeStraw. I highly recommend the filters and the flexible drinking containers."

Couldn’t survive without it (literally$

"I take this product along with the bottle and syringe on all my backpacking trips. It has provided me with a safe, reliable, and efficient way to get myself clean water on my backpacking trips. I have done many backpacking/camping trips relying on solely this product for clean drinking water and have always had the best tasting, purest water of all my camping friends using competing purification methods (I.e. chlorine, iodine, etc) For the sake of warning other consumers using it for this: beware of bending the syringe while filtering water, I bent the syringe a bit too much and broke off the tip of the syringe in the filter, rendering them both useless. (Not the fault of the product, however: ALWAYS have more than one water purification method in case of accident (or stupidity in my case))"

Must Have Piece of Equipment

"I use the filter all of the time when I am in remote areas hunting and fishing. It works extremely well, is compact, light and durable."

Robert H. (5/5)

great customer service!

"great customer service!"

Miss

"I haven't used it yet but I think it is better than the original lifestyle LifeStraw as it serves two purposes. I have it to fit my life straw flex bag and also an extra replacement that I carry in my backpack because it will serve as a straw or fit on a water bottle to filter on the go. An original LifeStraw will not do that. I like having so many options with this setup."

Amy (5/5)

Handy!

"The LifeStraw collapsible bottle is a great addition to any outdoor activity. Rather than packing the additional weight and bulk of traditional water containers I just throw this handy dandy water bottle in my fishing pack and know the filtered collapsible bottle will provide all the safe clean water I need for a day in the outdoors."

Q&A

Can the lifestraw flex filter be used without the activate carbon + ion exchange filter?
Hello Nick! The Flex cannot be used without the carbon capsule.
Would this filter work with the LifeStraw Mission high volume purifier 12 liter bag? The original filter is mot in stock.
Hello Oscar! The Flex is not compatible with the Mission product.
Does the filter work after being unused for something like a month?
Hey Kim! Of course. There is no shelf life on products with the exception of the carbon capsule. We recommend this be replaced every two months once it's opened.
Why can't I buy the Flex replacement filter at the retailers? It's only possible to buy the Lifestraw Flex and a carbon filter. It seems pretty weird.
Hi there! Spares for this product are only sold with us, the manufacturer.
Is the the "life straw flex replacement filte" compatible with a hydro flask water bottle.
I do not know. I do not have a hydro flask. I recommend purchase if the lifestaw soft or hard bottle that does fit the lifestraw.
How many gallons is this filter good for?
Long-lasting membrane microfilter lasts up to 500 gallons (2,000 L); replaceable activated carbon + ion exchange filter lasts up to 26 gallons (100 L). If drinking the current recommended daily water intake of 1 gal (4 L) the carbon filter will last for approximately 25 days, and the membrane will last for approximately 500 days. The membrane will last for another 19 carbon filter replacements.
