Q&A

Will these fit in a standard 10"x2.5" filter casing? With or without adapter device?
No, the LifeStraw Max Filter will not fit into a standard 10" x 2.5" filter casing, even with an adapter. The Max filter is designed as a standalone system for high-flow filtration and is not compatible with standard household or industrial filter housings.
What are the dimensions and weight on the carbon filters=
Max Carbon Filter Dimensions: Weight: 362 grams, 12.77 oz. Height: 277 mm, 10.9" Length: 60 mm, 2.4" Width: 60mm, 2.4"
Are these filters 0.2 microns or 0.02 microns. Can you please explain the difference? Are these filters capable of eliminating viruses? Or is extra water treatment needed using .2 microns filters?
The Max Ultrafilter pore size is 0.02 microns. At this size, the filters will block not only bacteria, parasites, cysts, microplastics, and turbidity in the water, they will also block 99.999% of viruses. In choosing the right filter, you should make sure you understand the condition of the water you would be drawing from. For areas where viral contamination is not a concern, the 0.2 micron pores of our microfilter will protect you well, but at times where viruses are present, you would be best served by the Ultrafilter's capabilities. You do not need to use water treatment for the Max or our other purifying filters.
