Customers kept choosing our filter pitcher over other options despite the wear over time, which told us the water was worth it and the body had to catch up.
What we did about it:
We rebuilt the new Home Essential body with one-piece construction and more durable, long-lasting materials. With no welds, we’ve eliminated the opportunity for leakage and engineered a pitcher that stands up to daily use, pour after pour.
You told us it had to fit your life
A pitcher that doesn't fit in your refrigerator or feel right in your hand doesn't get used, no matter how safe the water is. Some of the most useful feedback we got on the pitcher’s shape and size came from four-star reviews: customers who liked the pitcher overall, but still had to fight the design a little.
Generally I'd call this carafe great, but it's so tall that it doesn't fit well in my fridge.
The handle is too small — when the pitcher is full I have to hold the bottom, it's awkward to hold from the handle.
The pitcher looks nice and does what it's supposed to do, however the design feels a bit awkward and impractical.
What we did about it:
We reworked the handle to be easier to hold at full capacity and designed the updated Home Essential pitcher to fit comfortably into most refrigerators.

I like this pitcher a lot, and the quality of the water — but it's rather small and requires a lot of refilling.
The filter may be great, but it must be refilled multiple times to fill the pitcher for only 7 cups of water.
What we did about it:
A high-volume filter housing is designed to cut down on trips to the sink, and the easy-fill lid makes refilling the pitcher a one-handed job.
