The SafiCycle program, run by LifeStraw, is part of our commitment to improving the health and educational outcomes of girls. We believe a period should mark progress, not pause her potential. Every girl deserves access to safe, sustainable menstrual care—because periods don’t stop progress, lack of access does.
Lack of menstrual products isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a crisis. Girls in Kenya miss school, face serious health risks, and are forced into undignified solutions, including transactional sex for pads.
Through reusable period underwear, health education, and advocacy, we are breaking barriers, protecting health, restoring dignity, and keeping girls in school across Kenya.

Period Company has generously provided period underwear at cost, allowing us to maximize impact and reach more girls in need. We are also working with local partners to explore local manufacturing and will integrate this into the program as soon as possible. Together, we are transforming the way girls experience menstruation—providing them with safe, affordable, and effective period care.
