"This is a lovely glass pitcher and, after sufficiently priming the filter, the water is clean and delicious. However, it's quite heavy, even when filled only half-way. I supposed that's the compromise to be made for choosing glass over plastic. Also, because the water flow is low and slow, compared to other pitchers, one has to hold up the pitcher longer while filling a glass. So for anyone who has trouble lifting and gripping heavy-ish objects, the glass option may not be ideal for you."

The water itself, though is very good and has no plastic taste which was the reason for my purchase. My home has plastic water lines and I can't stand the taste or smell.
