What is the diameter of the top of the housing please?

Asked by: nicky
The housing for the 10 cup jug didn’t have me more worried about how tall the jug is. It’s huge. I could keep it top refrigerator but I keep it on the counter and fill mason jars for the fridge now. The housing for water to be poured has to fit into the jug and is around 3.5 or 4 inches diameter

Can I buy the replacement filters separately or do I need to buy both together each time?

Asked by: Loli
There are two components to the filter. The main water housing filter, I replaced at almost a year or maybe it was 10 months. The smaller filter that screws in to the bottom can be purchased separately from the housing and I change them about every month but we use the water filter for all our water — drinking and cooking. (2 people). There are guidelines for the amount of water you filter on the time to change filters, but this is what I do. I don’t try to figure out how much we have filtered. Hope this helps.

What is the LIFESTRAW HOME GLASS | 7-CUP FILTER HOUSING made out of?  The design looks like the water will pretty much always be in contact with the filter housing -- not just the pitcher.

Asked by: water
The Home pitcher is made of BPA-free FDA-Food Grade compliant plastic and glass.

I’m confused. Which filters do I need to replace on the Home pitchers?

Asked by: dmt1776
The Home pitcher has two filters. The Membrane Microfilter lasts 264 gallons (1 year), and thee Activated Carbon + Ion Exchange filter lasts 40 gallons (2 months). Both would need to be replaced.
