Alison Hill
Alison Hill is the CEO of LifeStraw, a U.S.-based safe water company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. With a background spanning public health, health systems, and business, she has spent nearly two decades developing LifeStraw as a brand rooted in innovation and the belief that safe water is a human right. She launched LifeStraw into the U.S. retail market in 2012 and helped build it from a humanitarian water filtration technology into a scaled global consumer business. LifeStraw became a standalone company at the end of 2019, and Alison was appointed CEO in 2020.
Under her leadership, LifeStraw has grown into a category leader across outdoor, travel, home, and emergency preparedness. The company develops innovative water filtration and purification technologies designed to protect people from unsafe water, strengthen access to safe drinking water during emergencies, and reduce reliance on single-use plastic.
At the same time, the business has remained grounded in measurable public health impact. Through its Give Back program, LifeStraw has provided more than 14 million children with a year of safe drinking water, demonstrating how American entrepreneurship, innovation, and commercial growth can be powerful forces for improving human health and strengthening communities in the United States and around the world.
